OPSkins Now Accepts ETH Deposits

ETH Deposits are now accepted on OPSkins! We’ve offered ETH cashouts for a few months now, but this addition enables you to deposit ETH, pay for items with ETH, view item prices in ETH, and also accept ETH as payment for the items you sell on the OPSkins Marketplace.

How to Deposit ETH on OPSkins:

To get started, you will first need to go to your Account Page and then click View Account Balances. You will then see your balance for ETH and WAX.

To deposit ETH, click the + sign next to ETH and then follow the instructions provided in the pop-up window.

How to Accept ETH as Payment on OPSkins:

In addition to cashing out to ETH, you can now choose to accept ETH as payment for item sales. What’s the difference between the two, if you end up with ETH at the end regardless of which option you choose? Let’s explain:

  • If you accept payment for an item in ETH, you are credited the amount of ETH (minus commission) into your OPSkins ETH wallet. So let’s say you sell an item and receive 1 ETH as your earnings which at the time is worth $600. If the price of ETH goes up to $1,000, your $600 sale will now be worth $1000.  The opposite is also true, so if the price of ETH goes down to $500, your $600 sale will be worth $500.
  • If you accept payment for an item in USD and then wait to cashout to ETH, you will receive the amount of USD (minus commission) into your OPSkins Wallet Funds. So let’s say you sell an item and receive $600 as your earnings, and at this time ETH is worth $600. A month later, ETH is worth $1000 and you choose to cashout to ETH. Even though the price of ETH increased, you will receive $600 in ETH because you had $600 in your OPSkins Wallet Funds. The opposite is also true, so if the price of ETH goes down to $300 and you cashout, your $600 item sale will earn you 2 ETH whereas a month earlier it would have been 1 ETH.

By default, the proceeds from item sales will be deposited to the sellers OPSkins Wallet Funds and converted to USD, so if you wish to accept ETH as a payment method you must indicate this by checking the box next to “Accept ETH” on your Currencies Accepted settings on your Account page. The buyer must pay in ETH for you to receive ETH as a payment method. If the buyer chooses to pay in USD, you will receive USD in your OPSkins Wallet Funds, not ETH. Accepting USD is a default setting.

How to View and Pay for items with ETH on OPSkins:

You can choose whether you wish to view item prices in ETH, WAX or just plain old USD. To change this, visit your Account page > Advanced Options > Show Cryptocurrency Price and select ETH from the drop down. To pay for items with ETH, you will have the option to “Pay with Cryptocurrency?” in your shopping cart. Select ETH here.

ETH deposits are one of the many cryptocurrency options available on OPSkins. You can also pay bitcoin, cashout to bitcoin, deposit WAX, and withdraw WAX. Bitcoin deposits can be made on the Add Funds page, and bitcoin cashouts can be submitted on the Cashouts page. WAX deposits and withdrawals are the same process as ETH. Some limits to cryptocurrency transactions may apply, contact support for details.

OPSkins to Add Etherbots: The Blockchain-Based Robot Wars Game

OPSkins is pleased to announce the upcoming addition of Etherbots to our marketplace! Etherbots is a blockchain-based online game that allows users to collect and build virtual robots, and then duel them with other players across the globe. Etherbots are comprised of four different parts, each of which are unique and scarce, so every robot is customized to the user. OPSkins has partnered with Etherbots to give our customers the ability buy and sell parts on the marketplace. We expect Etherbots to be integrated with OPSkins towards the end of March.

As blockchain technology continues its push into the mainstream, blockchain-based games have been gaining more and more traction with the first viral game at one point hogging the Ethereum blockchain, taking up nearly 15% of all transactions on the ETH network

OPSkins will become the go-to marketplace to trade these ERC-721 tokens, also known as Crypto Collectibles, as Etherbots is the second such token to be added to OPSkins (the first was CryptoKitties).

NEW: Introducing the OPSkins Trade Bot

You asked, and we listened! We have launched the beta version of our latest feature for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive the OPSkins Trade Bot. Whether you’re looking to freshen up your existing inventory for something better, or unload unwanted inventory for a new skin to rock, the OPSkins Trade Bot is a brand-new feature that allows you to trade quickly and efficiently. How does it work? Read on:

What is the OPSkins Trade Bot?

The OPSkins Trade Bot enables you to trade skins from your current CS:GO skin collection for other CS:GO skins available on OPSkins. Looking for a better float? Have extra skins you would like to pool together for a knife? With the new OPSkins Trade Bot, you can quickly dump your old skins to trade for something new.

OPSkins Trade Bot Features

When you first land on the OPSkins Trade Bot page you will notice several different features that are available. We have broken these features down to give you a better understanding of how to use the OPSkins Trade Bot, they’re detailed here from left to right:

Here you will select the list of skins that you currently have available to trade and add them to “MY OFFER.” In your inventory tab you have three different functions: a search bar, Sort By, and refresh. Search allows you to search for a specific skin in your inventory, Sort By allows you to organize skins based on price, and refresh which will refresh your inventory to make sure your latest items are shown. Note: you may click on the item and add it to “MY OFFER” without finalizing the trade. Only after you click the big orange TRADE button does the transaction complete. The total amount of the items you have selected to trade will appear in green in the top right of that section.

Middle – Selecting your New Skins:

Once you have selected the items that you wish to trade, it’s time to find the items that you would like to trade for in the list of items available from OPSkins. You can narrow them down with the following filters:

Price Range: Here you can set the price range of the items you are looking to obtian. Use the sliders to set the minimum and maximum value of the skins you want.

Exterior Quality: Here you can select the exterior quality of the skins you are looking to obtain, from Battle Scared all the way to Factory New. By setting the exterior quality it will only show skins of the exterior quality you have selected. You can’t select more than one, but you can select all.

Type: Here you can filter the skins you are looking for to a certain type. It can range from all skins currently available for trade, to certain types that include pistols, smgs, shotguns, rifles, snipers, keys, and of course everyone’s favorite – knives. You can choose multiple options here.

StatTrak: Here you can filter between StatTrak weapons and non-StatTrak weapons to better narrow down your search for the perfect skin.

Rates: These are the rates for each item type. For example if you’re trading a knife from MY ITEMS, you’ll get 99% of the knife’s average price on the trade. If you’re receiving a knife from OPSKINS’ OFFER, you’ll pay 105% of the knife’s average price for the trade.

Select the new items you want to get by clicking on them, which adds them to the OPSKINS OFFER. You can also use the search bar and Sort By here to help you find the items that match the filters you set in the middle section. By mousing over the item, you can choose to view it on OPSkins, in Steam, or inspect the item. Note: you may click on the item and add it to OPSKINS’ OFFER without finalizing the trade. Only after you click the big orange TRADE button does the transaction complete. The total amount of the items in the OPSKINS’ OFFER will appear in blue in the top left of that section.

Completing the Trade

Now that you have selected the items you’re unloading and which items you’re exchanging them for, it’s time to complete the trade.

Click the big orange TRADE button. You will get a Steam trade offer. Accept the trade offer and complete the transaction.

Give it a try, and let us know what you think!

Looking to sell your PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS or H1Z1:KotK items quickly? We got you covered! Traders now have the ability to instantly sell your PUBG and H1Z1: KotK items by using the Instant Sell Feature!

We rolled this out a few months ago for CS:GO but based on it’s success, we recently expanded it to include these two games. In return for your item, when you use Instant Sell you will have the choice of getting either regular OPSkins Wallet Funds which you can cash out for real money, or Operation Points (OP) which is basically OPSkins store credit that can be used to buy other items on OPSkins (from any game).

So how do you use Instant Sell on OPSkins?

  1. Visit the Instant Sell Page
  2. Select the items from your inventory that you wish to Instant Sell
  3. Then choose your earnings preference – OPSkins Wallet Funds or OP

It’s that simple. So if you have any CS:GO, PUBG or H1Z1:KotK items you are looking to sell quickly, head on over to the Instant Sell Page now.

Beware of Scam Sites Impersonating OPSkins

Update 10/17: You can download this Google Chrome extension to block many of these sites.

Updated 9/28/17

OPSkins is the safest and most trusted marketplace for trading in-game items. Lately there has been a new wave of websites impersonating OPSkins, which scam users out of their items. Here are some steps you can take to safeguard yourself against this and other common scams:

  • Don’t fall for scam sites! Scam sites are any URL with  /  opskins.___  / including sites pretending to be OPSkins case opening or gambling sites. OPSkins has NO case sites and NO gambling sites and we are not affiliated with any. Recent examples are:
  • Another new fake site scam that we are seeing lately makes the characters in the URL look like it says in your browser, this is particularly tricky when someone sends you a link and the underline hides the special characters:

  • Which are real OPSkins websites? Trust only websites that end with or Examples of these trusted URLs are:
  • ENABLE 2 FACTOR AUTHENTICATION ON YOUR ACCOUNT. We can’t stress this enough. This is the safest way to keep your account secure. You can do this by visiting your Account Page > Account Security. We also recommend that you enable Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for additional security.
  • In general, if someone contacts you on Steam and asks you to list an item on OPSkins, they’re probably attempting to scam you.
  • Don’t trust anyone who contacts you claiming to be an OPSkins staff member. No one from OPSkins will ever add you on Steam, and/or ask you to trade an item. These are impostors who will scam you.
  • Check to make sure you’re trading with an OPSkins bot. When trading with a bot, check your security token and click the bot’s name to open its profile. From there, make sure that the bot is in the “OPSkins Bots” Steam group. The official OPSkins Bots Steam group is named exactly “OPSkins Bots” and has an abbreviation of “op-bots”
  • Do not download any OPSkins browser extensions. OPSkins doesn’t have any official extensions, and so any that you see are most likely intended to scam you out of your items.

Remember, OPSkins cannot restore any items or funds that were lost as part of a scam or hijacking. Your account security is your responsibility. Your account will remain safe if you don’t trust fake sites, don’t trust anyone pretending to be OPSkins staff, and don’t download malware. If you have any questions, you can always contact us by making a support ticket.
